20+ Years Of Digital Innovation

For over 20 years I have worked on some of the most challenging and exciting projects in the interactive/digital landscape resulting in two Webby Awards and multiple nominations. From some of the first ecommerce applications in the mid 90’s to the launch of major brands online including Double Click, 1800flowers, Tequila Avion, Tom Brady and more. In addition, I have enjoyed success in online and offline marketing with such established brands as adidas, NFL, USOC, NHL, Bayer, Warner Brothers and more. Below are just some of the many projects I have managed.

Make It Right NOLA Webby Award Winner
Role: Creative Director, Product Manager, & Strategist
Responsibilities: Developed product & content strategies. Managed product roadmap, design and development.
Highlights: CMS platform built using Expression Engine. Webby award winning “Best Activism” Web site combined extensive content around the redevelopment of New Orleans Lower 9th Ward with a clean and captivating user experience.

Adidas Running and Basketball Shoe Campaigns
Role: Creative Director, Senior Producer & Strategist
Responsibilities: Oversaw development of the online strategy and managed design, development, production and rollout of all campaigns.
Highlights: Developed multiple campaigns for Adidas Running & Basketball Shoes. Running campaigns culminated with product launches at the New York and Boston marathons. Basketball campaigns featured Kobe Bryant & Pat Summitt, University of Tennessee Women’s Basketball Coach.

AOL Branded Entertainment
Role: Creative Director, Executive Producer
Responsibilities: Client & project management, planning and production.
Highlights: Managed the creation of high-impact Flash experiences for AOL’s Branded Entertainment division. My contract with AOL lasted two years and included development for their 2006 video line-up, AOL music and life coaches, each of them utilizing video green screen integration.

Tequila Avion Mobile Web Experience
Role: Creative Director, Product Led & Strategist
Responsibilities: Oversaw strategy and vision. Managed product design, development, production, rollout and ongoing management.
Highlights: One of the first mobile web, responsive designed and tablet optimized applications developed specifically for the iPad. Featured a fully functioning CMS platform built using Expression Engine along with a fluid touch screen experience allowing for 360 degree navigation.

Tom Brady Interactive Web Experience
Role: Creative Director, Product Manager & Strategist
Responsibilities: Oversaw online strategy and managed product design, development, production and rollout.
Highlights: The Tom Brady experience was a full screen Flash Web site that included green screen videos of Tom, a very dynamic animated schedule and the TB Challenge Flash game. Our team also developed the TB logo and many other supporting elements for his brand.

Red Bull Sports Performance
Role: Creative Director, Executive Producer
Responsibilities: Client, project, design, and development management.

Muhammad Ali Interactive
Role: Creative Director, Product Led (Multiple Projects)
Responsibilities: Developed all product roadmaps, managed design, and full development cycle from kick off to launch and ongoing feature rollouts for multiple projects over a two year span.
Highlights: CKX/Muhammad Ali interactive initiatives included the Muhammad Ali Web site, Ali Sightings Campaign, My Ali Story campaign and the iPhone/iPod App “Ali Jabs”. Webby Award Nominee in 2009 for ali.com. To this day I still host ali.com.

Cingular Wireless Mobile Presentations
Role: Creative Director, Product Lead (Multiple Projects)
Responsibilities: Managed planning and specification phases. Developed product roadmaps, managed design, development, and rollout for every product. Client and project management.
Highlights: My work with Cingular Wireless spanned three years until its merge with at&t. I was responsible for managing the design and development of over 15 mobile kiosk presentations which ran at various conventions as well as various campaigns which included HTML Emails, signage, CD-ROM development, and print.

Scholastic.com Complete Platform Redesign
Role: Creative Director, Product Lead & Strategist
Responsibilities: Managed six month in-house planning and specification phase. Developed product roadmap, managed production design, development, content migration, rollout, and integration of third party applications for the complete scholastic.com redesign.
Highlights: Multi-million dollar project spanning 18 months. Included the development of the first ecommerce teachers and parents stores and Drupal CMS.

PR Newswire Portal Product
Role: Product Manager
Responsibilities: Managed planning and specification phase. Managed design, prototyping and full development cycle from kick off to launch. Client & project management.
Highlights: Multi-project retainer with PR Newswire included the redesign of their PR Direct portal product and their primary online sign-up and distribution form.

Skittles Branded Entertainment Social Campaign
Role: Creative Director, Senior Producer & Strategist
Responsibilities: Oversaw the concept, social strategy, design and full development.
Highlights: Skittles “Do The Craze” was a multimillion-dollar branded entertainment campaign that ran on Cambio.com in 2013 and marketed across the entire AOL network.

Muhammad Ali Mobile IOS App
Role: Creative Director, Product Lead
Responsibilities: Developed and managed product roadmap. Managed design, prototyping and full development cycle from kick off to launch.
Highlights: Developed for CKX/19 Entertainment and Muhammad Ali Enterprises. Early 2009 IOS iPhone app featured real audio clips and licensed photos of “the greatest of all time”.

1800flowers.com Ecommerce Platform
Role: Product Lead
Responsibilities: Managed planning and specification phase. Developed product roadmap, managed design, development, content migration, and rollout for the complete 1800flowers.com redesign.
Highlights: Multi-million dollar project spanning 12 months. New application reduced customer service calls by 80% and the shipping calculation tool I developed improved the customer experience by breaking the mold of how a shopping cart functioned back in 1999. To this day the ecommerce shop is still recognized as being one of the top ecommerce trafficked sites in one day (Mothers Day 2000).

Warner Brothers Aim High Exclusive Web Series
Role: Creative Director, Senior Producer
Responsibilities: Oversaw the interactive video integration functions, social strategy, campaign design, development and rollout.
Highlights: Branded campaign with at&t and Warner Brothers featured Facebook OpenAuth & OpenGraph integration within the flash video putting users directly in the video experience. This original multi-episode Web series ran exclusively on Cambio and was marketed across the entire AOL network.

Harlem RBI & Mark Teixeira Dream Team 25
Role: Creative Director, Product Lead
Responsibilities: Developed product roadmap, managed design, and full development cycle from kick off to launch.
Highlights: CMS platform built using Expression Engine. Donation based platform, developed to promote Mark Teixeira and Harlem RBI’s efforts to gain awareness and raise corporate and personal donations for the expansion of charter schools in Harlem.

TOUR GCX Branding Campaign
Role: Executive Producer
Responsibilities: Client & project management, planning and production.
Highlights: The project included photo shoots, copywriting, design and print production. The success of the project led to the creation of additional campaign elements including direct mail and supporting print ads.

Bayer Healthcare & Nick Jonas Sponsored Campaign
Role: Creative Director, Executive Produtwo-yearonsibilities: Developed product roadmap, managed design, and full development cycle from kick off to launch and feature rollouts over the entire two year campaign.
Highlights: Nick Jonas sponsored campaign featured exclusive content developed by Bayer highlighted Nick Jonas’s battle with type 2 diabetes. The experience included live online chats, exclusive video content, photos and a monthly blog supplied by Nick. Built on Drupal CMS platform.

NHL Hockey For Huggies Campaign
Role: Creative Director, Executive Producer & Strategist
Responsibilities: Oversaw online strategy and managed design, development, production, rollout, and implementation of the multi-country payment gateway system.
Highlights: The campaign created for for the National Hockey League (NHL) included a desktop and mobile-friendly interface, the ability for users to select a team and a dollar amount via a user-friendly/fun slider and a real-time credit card processing system for both US and Canadian based donations.

NFL Player Development : Brand Refresh
Role: Creative Director, Executive Producer & Strategist
Responsibilities: Project management, planning, design and production management.
Highlights: Campaign created for the NFL Player Development Department included brand development for its primary and supporting programs and print ads.

Marucci Sports Web, Shop & Video Products
Role: Creative Director, Product Lead & Strategist (Digital), Producer & Editor (Video)
Responsibilities: Managed planning and specification phases. Developed product roadmap, managed design, development, content & product migration, rollout and ongoing feature development phases. Produced and edited all video segments.
Highlights: Multi-projects for Marucci Sports included development of the Marucci Brand, print campaigns, interactive elements, online shop, responsive Web site, video shorts, and live events.

YAK Telecommunications Web, Print & Video Campaigns
Role: Executive Producer & Developer
Responsibilities: Client & project management, planning, design, production management and hands on coding of Web templates.
Highlights: Multi-campaign launch for YAK, a Canadian based telecommunications company included branding, interactive, print and TV spots.

NYC 2012 Olympic Bid Campaign
Role: Senior Producer & Strategist
Responsibilities: Oversaw online strategy and managed design, development, production, rollout, and ongoing management.
Highlights: NYC 2012 campaign to win the bid for the 2012 Olympics. Campaign was featured in Communication Arts in 2002.

Big Rig Creative Webby Award Winning Web Site
Role: Executive Producer
Responsibilities: Managed design, development, production and rollout.
Highlights: Webby “People’s Voice” award for best self promotion Web site developed for Big Rig Creative, a company that I co-founded and managed from 2003 to 2009.

Looking For Space iPad App & Responsive Web
Role: Creative Director, Product Led, Strategist & Designer
Responsibilities: Developed and managed the product vision & strategy and roadmap. Developed design templates and final design elements. Led Web site and mobile application prototyping and technical development. Client & project management.
Highlights: Project is currently in progress. CMS platform built using WordPress and custom plugins.

Marquis Jet by NetJets Native APP & Web Site
Role: Creative Director, Product Manager
Responsibilities: Managed the design and development of the Marquis Jet responsive desktop Web site and feature updates to native mobile app.
Highlights: Web application built on custom .NET CMS platform.

Blair’s Death Sauce Ecommerce Web Site
Role: Creative Director, Product Led & Strategist (15 years)
Responsibilities: Developed product vision & roadmap, managed design, and all development cycles from kick off to launch, ongoing feature rollouts and redesigns over a 15 year period.
Highlights: Blair’s Death Sauce Web site has now seen 5 iterations of which I have personally overseen and in most cases have built many of the experiences. The current version includes ecommerce integration in shop mode and browse mode, large screen scrolling, OpenAuth login and the revamped Hot Sauce Meter. Ian Poulter Advanced Flash Experience
Role: Creative Director, Product Lead & Strategist
Responsibilities: Developed and managed the product vision & strategy and roadmap. Led the design, technical development, content development, social functions and video production.
Highlights: ianpoulter.com was a 2009 Webby Award Nominated Web site that featured interactive green screen videos with Ian and one of the first applications to integrate an interactive Twitter experience which allowed users to follow Ian’s Tweets around the world.

Protein Factory Ecommerce Web Site
Role: Creative Director, Product Led (10 years)
Responsibilities: Developed product roadmaps, managed design, and full development cycle from kick off to launch and ongoing feature rollouts and redesigns over a 10 year period.
Highlights: Over the past ten years I have worked closely with Protein Factory, one of the top protein ecommerce experiences online today. The latest version of proteinfactory.com includes social integration via Facebook OpenAuth and the Protein Lab, a customizable protein formula creation tool.

Merchant Warehouse Web Sites
Role: Creative Director, Product Manager
Responsibilities: Managed planning and specification phases. Managed design, prototyping and full development cycles from kick off to launch for multiple projects. Client management.
Highlights: Developed Merchant Warehouse and Merchant Ware Web sites each running on custom developed PHP based CMS platforms.

Pelotonia Ride For Cancer Research Campaign
Role: Creative Director, Executive Producer
Responsibilities: Managed design, development, production and rollout.
Highlights: I worked with Pelotonia on two iterations of their Web site and donation engine designed to build awareness of their Ride for Cancer Research campaign.
